The hotel, first opened in 1966 and now operated by Barceló Hotel Group, has 183 rooms with sweeping views of Marsamxett Harbour and Valletta. The upgrade added more storeys, 73 rooms, 64 luxury apartments, an office block, spa, lido and restaurants — making it one of the largest meeting and conference venues in Malta.
